My aunt is showing a bunch of her paintings at her alma mater, Augsburg College here in town, and there will be an artist talk and like that on Friday, 5:30-7:30 (not talking for the whole time, of course -- Mary would curl up in a little meepy ball if you tried to make her give a talk for two hours). If you're local and liked the painting above our fireplace, you might be interested: that's one of hers, although she's gone a bit more nature-abstract since then rather than abstract-abstract. The pay ramp at 22nd and Riverside seems to be the best parking bet. This is not a good opportunity to linger after the gallery opening and go out for dinner with me and those of my family and friends who are planning to be there with me, though, because I will be running off to the first part of Nordic Roots immediately thereafter. During, in fact, since the concert is at 7:30, and the Cedar tends to start things on time all considerate-like.
The fella who is replacing our back door was on time all considerate-like, too, and after spending several hours being alarmed at the thumpings and bumpings, the doglet is bored with him. Which is good, because it lets me get a few things done instead of just calming her.
What are some of your good things this Wednesday?
