a discouraging word

markgritter went to get a take-and-bake pizza, and when he got home, I leapt up from the couch to go put it in the oven while he took his boots off.

...and slid down the kitchen cabinets barely breaking my own fall, because my balance was--poof!--gone again.

Oh, good.

I'm hoping it'll go away, but it hasn't yet. I do not need another bout of vertigo. I also do not need another couple of days trying to sleep sitting up in hopes of another four months without it. So let's hope this is a brief aberration.

In the meantime, I propped myself on the couch for awhile, and I made it upstairs and am propping myself in the office chair, and in awhile I'll go read on the bed. And markgritter is being very helpful, as usual, and Ista is being Very Helpful, as usual, and I will survive that last part. (Edited to add: timprov is asleep; no slurs on his helpfulness are intended.)

Still and all. I would have preferred something else.
