Happy Canada Day to everyone who can properly pronounce phrases such as, "out and about in a boat"! And thank you for giving us one singable national anthem at hockey games, at least!
(And neither "about" nor "a boat" is the same thing as "a boot" in an up-north accent. Phoneticization of accents is usually a vast and silly oversimplification.)
Do you know what they do for Canada Day? They let small children climb around on dragon-shaped play structures! And then there's ice cream!
Maybe that was just the one time I was there, but it sure made an impression.
