My novelette, "The Radioactive Etiquette Book," is out in the March 2013 issue of Analog. Yes, I know it's only December of 2012. But the March 2013 issue of Analog is out anyway, and with it my novelette. It's screwball with aliens, and I think it took me more tries to get this one started than any other story I've written. Now that I have it written and revised and published, of course I want to write another. Brains! Brains are an awful lot of trouble. |

It is a really really good story and people should read it.
Seriously, it's like one of Connie Willis's comedy stories, except with interstellar diplomacy. And Mrissish.
It doesn't look like I can buy just that issue until the next issue comes out, but Alec's description of the story sounds promising!
Yeah, it's in bookstores apparently but not on their website yet. Or something.
Their website mentions various mobile apps, so I tried it on my iPad. I can buy past issues individually there but the current issue (which in the app *is* the March one) is only available with a year's subscription. But looking in a bookstore is a thought! I've been reading so many ebooks over the last few weeks that I kinda forgot about that possibility.

Yeah, I went ahead and subscribed on my iPhone after seeing that the year's subscription to the electronic version costs the same as the six month subscription to the dead tree version. Kind of a lot to pay for a novelette, but it's a mrissa novelette! Plus a year of Analog to dip into.
And now I have a copy from Pandemonium!
Good deal! Glad to hear it, hope you enjoy.
OOH! I just found out I can get Analog as an ebook for my iPad and or Kobo. Count me in! (Looking forward to your story.)
I loved the piece. Thanks for the great read!
I screwed up and didn't get the Kindle version while it was available. {pout}
I assume it's way too early to be hearing about possible reprints? | |
