What I am wearing to the symphony: a violet silk dress.
What I am not wearing to the symphony: a violent silk dress.
We apologize for any disappointment this may have caused. |

I am just as pleased my friends aren't attending performances for which a violent dress, or indeed any violent garments, would be appropriate.
... shift with chain links incorporated into the pattern would be pretty fabulous.
... style for the symphony.
Wouldn't it be appropriate to wear violent dresses to Violent Femmes concerts? Not that Mris is going to such a concert, or that anyone is just now.
Although I am pretty femme, you have spotted an important difference quite accurately.
Good thing - those violent dresses are a bit tough to put on....
Alas!
Also, it warms my heart to see you busting out the mrischief icon this much.
I am currently immersed in a personal rewrite of Exalted: the Sidereals, an RPG with excellent imagery and crummy rules, and this fits perfectly: Violent silk is clearly woven by the Pattern Spiders that tend the Loom of Fate, at the behest of Saturn, the Maiden of Endings. It is, of course, only available in violet, for that is Saturn's favorite color. Nominally intended for weaving the dangerous parts of life in the loom, the Sidereal Exalted can request small quantities of it for making into fine garments equally suited to wearing to the symphony and engaging in earth-shattering kung-fu which simply weaves the destiny of their opponents into being dead, without any of that messy causality and punching along the way.
I don't mind, so long as you were inviolate. | |
